Dr. Kapec attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received her bachelor’s degree in biology in 1988 and then her dental degree in 1992 from UNCCH School of Dentistry. She continues her education every year to stay up to date on the latest in dentistry. She is a proud member of the American Dental Association.

Dr. Kapec has been practicing in Greensboro since 1997. Her primary goals as a dentist are to always promote optimal oral health for her patients, encouraging prevention treatment and restoration of oral health. Patient awareness and education are top priorities as well, since this can help prevent major dental problems. While these are important, Dr. Kapec also strives to provide a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere for her patients and employees.

Dr. Kapec married her partner, J.D. Cohen, in 2022. She has a son named Cameron who is a physical therapist and who married her daughter-in-law, Hannah, in 2024. She also has a daughter named Delaney who is a registered dietician. Dr. Kapec’s passions include traveling, interior design and a love of animals.
